FORMALITIES :
It
is an official endorsement giving the permission to enter
or leave a country by the Consulate and/or the Embassy of
that country.

TYPES
OF VISA :
Transit Visa
The ones who will depart their country for an onward country
of destination are to apply for "Transit Visa"
on their departure to a third country and in their first
entry if they are subject to custom regulations.
Feature of the Visa
If you have taken a visa from the any of the ten schengen
countries, there is no need to apply for a further entry
visa. Border police requires from those to issue an entry
visa from the consulate of the country of destination for
schengen procedures.

Multiple entries (Valid till the expiry date of the visa)
Single
Single entry (For single use. No second exit is permitted
.)

Employers
A petition written on a stationery with a letterhead to
the concerned competent authority about your request for
touristic visa.(Cachet and signiture of the competent(s).)
• Activity Document from Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
(As of 99 )
• Copy of the tax payment. (As of 99 )
• Signature circular. (Photocopy)
• Circular trade journal. (If you are a partner of the firm,
fill out the necessary parts)
• Certified copies of real estate. (House, Land, Devremulk
v.b)
• Bankbook of the individual or the firm.
• New photo. (Suitable for a document)
Employees
• A petition written on a stationery with a letterhead to
the concerned competent authority about your occupation.
• A petition to the competent authority about your request
for touristic visa.
• Social Insurance Institution Date of recruitement. (S.S.K.
Certified copy)
• Copy or the original of the pay bill for the last the
three months.
• The documents indicated above in the enumerated 2.3.4.5.6.7.8.
articles.
Housewives
• A petition to the competent authority.
• Certified copies of real estate. (House, Land, Devremulk
v.b)
• Documents of your husband's occupation. (All the above
listed requirements according to the position of the occupation)
• Personal bankbook.
Retireds
• A petition to the competent authority. (Visa requirements
for touristic purposes)
• Account book of retirement and bankbook.
• Real estates. (Certified copies of House,Land, Title deed,
etc. )
Students
• A petition. (Visa requirements for touristic purposes)
• A student certificate. (As of 99 )
• Documents of the employement of the parents. (The above
items according to employement)

NOTE
The citiezens of the registered countries in the a,b and c
and the citizens of Bulgaria are exempted from transit visa.
(According to the Article 13 of the Visa Agreement signed
with Bulgaria,transit passes are exempted from visa,however
the citiezens of the both countries are subject to pay "transit

Those who can take from border gates banderole visa for
3 months:
USA, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil,Netherland, England,
Ireland, Spain, Italy, Canada, Portugal.
Those
who can take from border gates 1 month valid banderole visa:
Albania, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Czech Republic, Armenia, Estonia,
Latvia,Lithuania, Hungary, Moldova, Uzbekistan, Poland,
Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Jordan, Ukraine,
Yugoslavia.
Those
who can take from border gates banderole visa for 15 days
:
Georgia.
Those
who can take from border gates visa against receipt:
Guatemala (at least 15 days), Taiwan (at least 1 day)
Those who can take visa from our Foreign Representatives:
All the citizens of the countries,exept for the ones who
Turkey does not require visa and those who take visa from
border gates,are to apply for visa beforehand to our Embassies
or Consulates.

Goods
Subject to Payment of Custom Duties
The goods not more than 1.500 Euro are to be delivered to
the traveller more than 18 years old two months before his/her
entry or six months later of his/her departure, and the
goods not brought to the country to be traded are subject
to %10 customs duty. (Exemption of 300 Euro will be reduced).
The goods which are concurrently imported with the owner
at the age of 18 and not more than 1.500 Euro and brought
into the country out of commercial concerns are subject
to %10 customs duty. (Exemption of 300 Euro will be excluded).
• The above conditions are to be provided in order to take
advantage of this right:
• The items being sent to the ones residing in Turkey via
mail or cargo,
• The goods concurrently imported by the owner,
• Being brought or sent as a gift ,
• Peculiar to personel or family use,
• The items that the customer make no payment in return
upon purchasing,
• Out of commercial concerns,
If the value of the goods, imported within the frame outlined
above, exceed 1.500 Euro, the customs duty of these goods'
importation will be collected according to the regulated
principles being in force.
If each imported goods in question exceeds 1.500 Euro, the
customs duty will be collected according to the designated
ratios.
Before the allocation of a fixed proportional tax, the person
who have declared his/her imported goods will require tax
regulations to be applied for imported goods. In this case
the importation of the good will be allowed upon the tax
revenue.
The stabilization of the tax assessment of the brought good
within this frame will be designated according to the presented
invoice or receipt. If the attestation of such a document
is not available or the value of the registered good presented
with the document is low, the value of the good will be
determined by the administrations.
Currency Regulations
• There is no limit for the amount of the foreign and Turkish
currency to be brought into Turkey.
• More than $5.000 worth of Turkish currency can not be
taken out of the country.
• $ 5.000 worth foreign currency can be taken out of the
country.
• $5.000 or near amount of cash currency will be taken out
of the country by the ones who reside abroad or
• Turkish citizens working abroad, and by those who settled
in Turkey, if they document that they have purchased currency
from the authorized banks.
• The amount of foreign or Turkish currency will be transfered
abroad through banks.
• All personal belongings and articles made of precious
stones or metals( not bearing commercial purposes)worth
not over $15.000 will be brought into and taken out of the
country. ( The jewelry worth more than the given amount
can only be taken out of the country proving that it has
been registered on entry or purchased in Turkey with legally
exchanged currency.)
• Cash money brought into the country to be purchased for
exportation carried out from Turkey is to be declared on
entry.
